Knowledge Builders Tutoring Program
We need volunteers to work one-on-one with students who are struggling in core classes (math, science, social studies, English/language arts), who can commit at least 1 hour per week and maintain a consistent schedule. You will be paired with a student (age range 6-15) based on your professional/academic qualifications.
Our Healthy Bodies, Happy Minds yoga program runs Tuesdays and Thursdays. We need volunteers to do yoga alongside club members and help keep them focused. Yoga activities will be taught by professionals from Global Breath Studio/MindBody Centering Yoga. Volunteers needed 3:55-5 PM Tues/Thurs.
We need people in the classrooms helping our teachers with various lessons, programs, and activities. We need consistent volunteers each week for classroom assistance. If you and/or your friends are interested in volunteering, please contact Kelley Seebeck at or 919-687-4517.
Field Trip Host
Our kids love exploring their community. If you’d like to offer your place of business/study as host for an educational field trip (university, place of business, museum), our club members will be forever grateful.
Other Ways to Volunteer
We welcome tutors to assist with subjects ranging from beginning levels of math/reading/science to advanced high school levels. Tutors will be paired with a child who has received a C, D, or F in a core subject. We ask that tutors maintain a consistent schedule and volunteer at least once a week for an hour.
We can accommodate groups small and large to help with building-related projects (painting, cleaning, organizing) and special events for the kids (field days, health fairs, presentations, etc). If you have a group of friends and/or coworkers that are available Monday-Friday to complete a project, please contact Kelley Seebeck at or 919-687-4517.
